Job Summary
The Trading Desk Treasury & Operations Executive is responsible for managing the trading desk's treasury operations, broker accounts, capital allocation, liquidity, settlement, and operational support across global financial markets. This role ensures efficient capital deployment, accurate fund movements, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted trading operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Broker Account Management.
- Manage the onboarding, maintenance, and administration of domestic and international broker accounts.
- Prepare and submit KYC/AML documentation, trading permission applications, and account updates.
- Liaise with brokers to resolve account-related issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Treasury & Capital Management.
- Monitor daily cash balances, account equity, margin utilization, and capital allocation across all trading accounts.
- Execute deposits, withdrawals, internal transfers, bank remittances, and foreign exchange conversions.
- Support Group Treasury in optimizing capital allocation based on trading and liquidity requirements.
- Liquidity & Risk Monitoring.
- Monitor liquidity, margin utilization, buying power, and capital concentration across brokerage accounts.
- Identify funding shortages, margin risks, and operational bottlenecks, and recommend timely solutions.
- Ensure adequate liquidity is maintained to support trading activities under all market conditions.
- Settlement & Reconciliation.
- Reconcile broker statements, bank statements, and internal capital records on a daily and monthly basis.
- Verify trading commissions, financing costs, market data fees, and other trading-related expenses.
- Investigate discrepancies and prepare treasury and capital movement reports.
- Compliance & Operational Control.
- Ensure all treasury activities comply with regulatory requirements, broker policies, and internal procedures.
- Maintain complete and auditable records of broker accounts, fund movements, and treasury transactions.
- Support AML, source-of-funds verification, and internal audit requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in treasury, settlement, broker operations, trading operations, or capital management within a financial institution, brokerage, hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or fintech company.
- Good understanding of treasury operations, broker account management, cash management, and capital allocation.
- Familiarity with margin trading, account equity, buying power, and liquidation mechanisms.
- Experience with trading platforms such as Interactive Brokers (IBKR), MT5, Binance, or similar brokerage systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced trading environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders, brokers, and banking partners.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- High standards of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Candidates with accounting, fund, futures, or securities-related qualifications are preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel VBA, Python, or automation tools for treasury ledger management is a plus.
- Experience cooperating with audit, tax, or internal control inspections is preferred.
Working Conditions & Notes
- Global Collaboration (Remote & On-Site): The trading desk operates under a global Trading Desk model, allowing team members to work remotely from various financial centers and collaborate through trading systems, communication platforms, and risk management systems. Requirements include: a stable high-speed internet connection; flexibility to align with the trading desk’s working hours; and maintaining online responsiveness during major market events.
- This role involves fund transfers and account authority management, requiring strict adherence to internal approval processes and the dual-control review system. The position requires frequent collaboration with group finance, the trading desk, and global brokers.
- Upon onboarding, you will receive 2–4 weeks of training covering the trading account system, broker back-office operations, and capital management procedures.
- A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) must be signed, and strict compliance with the company’s confidentiality policies for account information and trading data is required.
