Job Summary

The Head of Legal will lead corporate legal coordination for UTC as a global proprietary trading technology group. The role covers governance, contracts, employment documentation, website disclosures, data and confidentiality controls, and coordination with external counsel across relevant jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain corporate governance files, board documentation, subsidiary records, internal authorizations, and legal approval workflows.
  • Review and coordinate contracts covering technology vendors, infrastructure services, office operations, employment matters, and professional advisers.
  • Support clear website disclosures and internal policies reflecting UTC proprietary trading activities across Singapore, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Hong Kong, and Mainland China entities.
  • Coordinate with external counsel on regulatory interpretation, entity maintenance, employment issues, intellectual-property protection, and data confidentiality obligations.
  • Build practical legal controls for trading-system access, incident documentation, procurement approvals, and cross-border internal communications.

Candidate Profile

  • Legal professional with corporate, financial services, fintech, technology, capital markets, or cross-border governance experience.
  • Excellent drafting skills, pragmatic risk judgment, and the ability to translate legal requirements into operating procedures.
  • Comfortable working around confidential trading technology, server operations, and internal risk-control processes.
  • Singapore legal experience is strongly preferred; cross-border coordination experience is an advantage.
