Business Intelligence Project Manager

【Responsibilities】

• Apply and adapt Project Management best practices: project scoping, planning trading strategies, milestones and schedules definition, reporting of project status, issue tracking, change control.

• Create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into information supporting decision making: gather, analyze, and document reporting functional and technical requirements.

• Work closely with Quant trading team to make sure data definitions and technical logic specifications align with business requirements.

• Oversee test plan, test cases and test scripts.

• Perform data extractions via SQL/Cypher and present findings to Quant trading and Finance team .

• Analyze production problems, realize / recommend data correction.

• Support all BI users on training and best practices on BI tools, where to find data.

• Maintain user guides and release notes up to date.

【Requirements】

• At least 3 years experience in Financial Intelligence project management (Waterfall and Agile)

• Working experience with any of the following BI tools (ordered by preference): Tableau, Power BI, IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM Planning Analytics, Business Object, Qlikview

• Good knowledge of relational and multidimensional data models (star schemas, cubes)

• Strong skills with SQL and Cypher

• Basic knowledge of financial reporting (P&L, BS, CF)

• Good written and spoken English

• Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to analyze and understand business needs in order to translate them into report/ dashboard specifications and deliverable solutions

• Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage own workload

• Proactive, able to suggest improvements of processes, systems, code… and prioritize them

Desirable

• Strong customer focused, team-oriented communication skills with emphasis on building lasting, trusted partnerships through written and verbal communications

• Experience with / knowledge of at least one of the functional areas: finance management, customer relationships and sales, freight forwarding or logistics operations

• Experience with / knowledge of finance (non-banking), transportation or logistics domains

• Experience with / understanding of OLAP solutions and MDX (TM1 especially)

• Willing to work with and learn new technologies
